About
Located in downtown Toledo, the First Alliance Church has ministered to city residents for over 100 years. As part of the worldwide Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), First Alliance Church promotes Jesus Christ as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. The church
maintains the integrity this original message in the midst of an ever-changing society while adapting its delivery to ensure
the relevancy of our ministry.
The First Alliance Church has a strong emphasis on international missions and supports C&MA missionaries impacting the world
for Christ at locations around the globe. We celebrate these efforts annually through a week-long missions conference and
week-to-week through giving and missionary updates.
The First Alliance Church is also very active right here in Toledo. Through the Toledo Urban Impact's After School Klub (A.S.K.)
the church reaches neighborhood children of the inner city via tutoring, recreation, and teaching activities. The Sunday messages from First Alliance Church are re-broadcast on a local FM station every Sunday.
Sunday morning service is offered at 11:00 a.m.. Biblical-based teaching
is also delivered through a variety of programs targeting children, youth, seniors, young married couples, singles, families and senior adults. In addition, the First Alliance Church supports men's and women's groups, Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School (VBS).

Our Statement of Faith
There is one God,(1) who is infinitely perfect,(2) existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(3)
Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man.(4) He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.(5) He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust,(6) as a substitutionary sacrifice,(7) and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.(8) He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures.(9) He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest.(10) He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.(11)
The Holy Spirit is a divine person,(12) sent to dwell, guide, teach, empower the believer,(13) and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.(14)
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally
given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of
His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only
rule of Christian faith and practice.(15)
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God:(16) he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature,(17) are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.(18) The portion of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment;(19) and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss.(20)
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and
those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit,
receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.(21)
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly,(22)
being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will
of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.(23) This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.(24)
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body.(25) Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.(26)
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus
Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy
Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, (27) which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.(28)
The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined
together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of
God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and
observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.(29)
There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life;(30) for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.(31)
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent(32) and will be personal, visible, and premillennial.(33) This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.(34)

Core Values
First Alliance Church:
#1 -Jesus- He matters in our daily lives (John 15:1-5). Without the life of Jesus pulsing into our lives, we can do nothing. Ask yourself: Am I following Jesus daily?
#2 -Application of Scripture- It is the life changing (James 1:25) "But he who looks intently at the perfect law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but and effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does." Ask yourself: Are my priorities consistent with the Bible?
#3 -Growth- Real followers of Jesus grow (2 Peter 1:5-8; 3:18). Followers of Christ should yearn for continuous growth. That includes character and wholeness. Ask yourself: Am I growing in my relationship with God and others?
#4 -Prayer- The primary work of God's people (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Ephesians 6:18 "With all prayer and petitions pray at all times in the spirit, and with this in view, all on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints." Ask yourself: Do I have a regular time each day when I spend time talking with God?
#5 -Groups- Growing larger and smaller at the same time (Acts 2:41-47).
God has given us His Word-It's life changing.
God has given us prayer-where we can talk with God
God has given us the Holy Spirit-He empowers us and encourages us.
God has given us each other-That is how God designed the Church.
Ask yourself : Am I in a growth group?
#6 -Service- Every member is a servant (Romans 12). Christ followers recognize that the church is composed of independent members, each uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of building up the body and furthering the ministry of the church. Ask yourself: Am I REGULARLY serving through the church?
#7 -Relevance- Changing methods...unchanging message (1 Cor. 2:1-5; 9:19-23). A witness in a courtroom simply describes accurately what he or she saw. That's what we do when we witness to unchurched friends. We describe the life we knew, the savior who came to us, and the changes He's made in our lives. It is not enough to just be "nice" to people. They must hear why we are the way we are, who can save them, and
how. Ask yourself: Am I
living out my faith in the real world?
#8 -Unity and Diversity- focusing on the things that unite us, not the things that divide us Romans 14; Ephesians 4:1-6). We have diversity of gifts in the body of Christ. Like the human body which has many differing organs, so our different roles and activities bring LIFE to the church. If we become separated from each other, we suffer, like a limb out of joint within the body.
We exercise our gifts and roles for one purpose--to build God's kingdom. We are united in pursuit of one goal--to win others to Christ and to become like Christ. Ask yourself: Am I speaking positively about my church at every opportunity?
#9 -People- people matter to God (Matthew 28:18-20) Christ commissioned us to "make disciples." Why? Because people matter to God. He wants them found! That's why we're not translated to heaven the moment we are taken out of the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's Son.
God keeps us here to love the lost... to be salt and light... to shine with the glory of God!
Ask yourself: Am I sharing my faith in my sphere of influence?
#10 -Fullness- achieving God's purposes involves taking faith-filled risks by Spirit-filled people (Hebrews 11:6). Ask yourself: Am I being filled with the Holy Spirit? Am I taking faith-filled risks for the sake of Christ?
#11 -Stewardship Of Life- everything we have belongs to God; we are only stewards (Acts 4:32-37). Ask yourself: Am I being a faithful steward of all God has given me?
